IPS implementation together with Acmepacket SBCs

Hi,

 

Does anybody has any experience implementing SBCs together with IPS systems?

 

- Is it OK to implement such IPS systems on the Access side of the SBC (i.e. on the external side of an SBC)?

- If the answer is NO; Should it be at the same place as the SBC, side to side then?

- If the answer is YES; How it is implemented? As a complement to the SBC?

- Any additional advice you can give with regard IPS implemented together with SBCs would be of very much help.
