DNS SRV behavior

Hello,

Currently we've provisioned for our customer 4 session-agents (4 registrars). These 4 SAs are grouped together in a session-group.
The customer would rather see us use DNS SRV instead of the currently used fixed IP addressing scheme.

So now we're experimenting in our labs with this feature. In our labs We have two Asterisk machines simulating the registrars. A named daemon is running in the lab network.

As far as I know, for DNS SRV to work, we need to provision a session-agent with the

  • FQDN,
  • Set the port to '0'
  • IP address empty.

We would like to use the feature 'ping-all-addresses' so the health of the registrars could be monitored.
