Fail an option ping to a sip interface for failover testing

We have recently implemented ACME 4500's and changed our configuration so that all of our customers use the same sip interface.  We used to use different sip interfaces for different customers.  If those customers are optioning us for availability, they are all optioning the same interface.  The issue with this is we have test cases to test the failover scenarios when their options fail.  We used to disable the sip interface, but we can't do that any more because it would impact all customers.  Any ideas?  Can we create a black list or something for an individual customer where the
