min-reg-expire in detail

Hi everyone,

 

I just read the information regarding the min-reg-expire parameter but still can't figure out how to set it properly.

 

I tend to set it to 3600, due to the following reasons:

 

• we have only one registration intervall for all subscribers: 3600
• I do not want any value below that forwarded to the real registrar

Am I right to suppose that this only applies to the expires-value in the SIP-message and not to the actual time that passes between registers send from a subscriber? (Because our subscribers register again not after 3600s but after about 85% of 3600s, of course always with expires: 3600)
