Local Route Table questions

edited Jan 8, 2014 10:22PM in Acme Packet (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hi everyone,

I am currently learning to use Local Route Table (LRT) on our Acme Packet SBC. I think it is a flexible and powerful function for routing calls. I have the following questions:

1. The BCP document suggests that LRT uses a certain amount of memory. Do you have any practical examples showing how much memory is used with LRT, e.g.  how much memory is used with 100,  1000 and 10,000 routes.

2. Are you aware of any performance downgrading of the SBC with LRT running?

3. Matching by prefix-length and string-lookup, which uses more resource?

4. I am aware that Trunk Group Routing function also does the similar job. Is there any advantage(s) of Trunk Group Routing over the LRT, apart from using less memory?

Howdy, Stranger!
