Local Policy with Regex - i.e Routing to a non-continous range of B Numbers

edited Nov 22, 2012 1:35AM in Acme Packet (MOSC) Question

Hi Guys,

Sometimes our common LP based on source-realm from to may not cover, at first look, all the enterprise needs to address the routing of a non-continous range of DIDs towards one specific destination.

I just wanted to share with you (again this isn't new, but perhaps few people is using it yet in enterprise) how to perform a Local Policy with a Regex instead of using prefix. This requires the usage of HMR.

Long story short:

  1. We do an ingress HMR with a Regex to cook the req-uri host
  2. We do a LP with To ourcookeddomain
  3. We set the policy-attribute action parameter to "replace-uri" to fix the cookeddomain

Howdy, Stranger!
