media path supervission via QoS based routing

Hello,

We would like to implemented a "media suppervission mechanism" using the QoS based routing feature in the ACME SD. The purpose of the mechanism would be to prevent that the sessions are setup at signalling level but there is no media path available (due to some onward routing/switching failure on media path,  beyond first hop, not the Layer 1 or 2 on the local interface). The mechanism would need to react by temporarilly removing the path from service.

We have found the QoS based routing mechanism described in the ACLI configuration Guide that seems to provide us the mechanism. Can someone help me with more details about how the R-factor used in this mechanism is calculated and also what is the process used to return the path back in service?

Howdy, Stranger!
