Basic Call Flow thru ACME SBC and HMR

I am new to ACME SBCs. I was hoping someone could be point me to a call flow of how a call routes through an SBC? I have downloaded some white papers adn startred to reading but was curious if there was a call flow diagram that showed Carrier SIP Call -> Physical SBC Interface -> Realm -> HMR -> Steering Pool -> Session Agent -> out to next hope like possibly an Avaya Session Manager (or however it actually routes)
