B2BUA:Route Processing

Hello all,

 

I'd like to know more details regarding the route processing performed by a SBC configured as a B2BUA  (Back-to-Back User Agent).

Precisely, my question is: in the absence of a Local Policy, how such SBC (B2BUA) will perform  the routing of a request which doesn't contain a route header? 

Will my SBC (B2BUA) behave the same way as a Proxy accordingly to the the RFC 3261 (Section 16.12) ?

 

16.12 Summary of Proxy Route Processing

 

 In the absence of local policy to the contrary, the processing a
   proxy performs on a request containing a Route header field can be
   summarized in the following steps.
