T.38 FoIP Faxination

Hi,

 

I'm strugling with some questions regarding T.38 faxination.

 

Our customers Mobile Network (SP) does not support T.38 FoIP faxination codec.

But we need to route an incoming fax to the a Faxination server, these calls are failing at the moment.

 

My questions are do I need DSP modules for Transcoding? Or can I just alter the SIP messages with Codec Policies?

Or is this allways a combination of these both?

 

Fax -> Mobile Network ->  SIP route to SBC -> Routed to Avaya SM -> SIP route on SBC for Faxination -> seconday SBC route towards Faxination Server. This is only needed for incoming faxes towards the Faxination server.
