iOS Multipath TCP support

Hello community,

 

Is there anybody who has some experience with the use of Multipath TCP on smartdevice UAs like IPhone? Without any indept knowledge on this subject I can imagine that an UA at the access-side has two (or maybe more??) connections to the SBC, so probably in most cases; one via WiFi and one via 3G. Registration-wise this should not be a problem since the SBC can handle multiple registrations for the same aor.

 

But I'm not aware about the inner-workings of this Multipath feature. Does this mean that SIP messages could be send from the UA to the SBC via both paths? E.g. an INVITE via path-1 and the 200OK via path-2?
