Security Certifications

I am commonly asked what security certifications we have achieved for the SBC. It isn't unreasonable to assume that if there are industry cerfitications for firewalls and IDS/IPS that the SBC would have something similar.  However, there is actually NO third party certifications for SBC security.

 

So we have to look elsewhere for third party validation. Acme Packet session border controllers (SBCs) have been tested and certified by numerous industry organizations including the GSM Association (GSMA), the Multi-Service Forum (MSF) and the SIP Forum. All of these certifications required testing of security capabilities. In addition, Acme Packet SBCs have passed the United States Government’s Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Unified Communications requirements testing. The Net-Net SBC is also FIPS 140-2 compliant and is listed on DISA’s Unified Capabilities Approved Product List (UCAPL).  We’ve sponsored third-party security testing of our products in the past, but we don’t publish
