how to set up my acme packet to work with my cisco 2600 terminal server

how do i use my acme packet with my cisco trermianal server?   i can connect to the acme packet via my laptop i can console into the acme via the same cable connected to the terminal server i disconenct it from the term server and connct it to my laptop and i can log into the acme.  Once i connect it to the terminal server octal cable it does not let me in via console. it just hangs..  i have tried multiple conenctions on the terminal server and the same results??
