Bytes not populated after DML using In Memory option

Has anyone come across the issue where after some DML has occurred, tables that were loaded In Memory now have a 'Bytes not populated' value greater than 0? I've checked and the system still has space available, in the 'In Memory' area so I'm not sure why this would be greater than 0. Is it actually in reference to something else? As the population status is listed as complete for the table. (I've tried with different compression settings, but it seems to occur on all of them) I've increased the inmemory_trickle_percent parameter and have ran a select count(*) against the
