Can be updated an existing ITEM_CATEGORIES_FLEXFIELD by adding an additional segment?

Hello,

As per Oracle E-Business Suite Flexfields Guide release 12.1

Item Categories Flexfield must be designed and configured before you can start defining items since all items must be assigned to categories.

On our OEBS instance Item Categories Flexfield have just one SEGMENT assigned. And we want to update it to use the second segment.

Is it supported such kind of update?
