RE: TCA Bulk Import and Duplicate Detection

Is it possible to start the bulk import process, run batch de-duplication, and NOT perform the import?  We are looking for a way to proactively prevent the creation of duplicate parties in bulk.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
