Items under serial and lot control in WIP

Hi,

We are using discrete 12.2

We would like to have items under serial AND lot control.

As per INV user guide this is not possible:

"Work in Process recognizes lot control or serial control for an item, but not both.

You cannot transact an item in Work in process if it is under both lot and serial control."

But I did some testing in WIP for a finished good ... and it works fine.

And looking some notes in MOS looks also like this is supported functionality.

So, is it supported or not ?

If yes, for finished goods and components ?
