Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC)

Looking for suggestions/comments on how to add an application/database into our RAC.

We currently run a 2-node RAC that supports a Peoplesoft application.

The user community has purchased a 2nd Peoplesoft application that will be very tightly tied to the first application (that reside in the RAC).

They have described their requirements and everyone is in agreement that this new application should be in RAC also.


Looking for ideas on ways to do this, and the reasons why.


What we have discussed so far:


a)  a 2nd 2-node cluster that supports the new application

b)  add the new database into the existing RAC
