Add Serial to IB from Logistics TAB (Depot Repair)

For Advance Exchange if the Returned Faulty Machine does not match with the Actual machine received and if that machine is not available in Install Base, then Is there any way to add the machine to IB from Logistics TAB too? i.e Update the new serial in the Source Serial Number in Logistics TAB and Add to IB from there.
