Forward to is not showing the next immediate approver by default during approving PO

Hi

We have upgraded from 11.5.10.2 to r12.2.4 very recently and testing CRP issues.

In 11i the immediate supervisor is showing by default when we select forward button during PO approval. We are using supervisor approval and forward method id DIRECT in document type setting.

The same setup is upgraded to r12.2.4 ,but we are not seeing the immediate supervisor in forward during approval. The supervisor is showing in LOV, but expectation is that supervisor should show by default if we choose forward button during PO approval

Please suggest where we missed any setup.
