A work order for the assembly is released on the shop floor. At the end of each shift some is completed and put into finished goods warehouse.


This workorder rolls during a 5-day week. Capacity is 2000 units per day. The workorder is for a quantity of 10000 units.


The routing is composed of one step only and the BOM is composed of several parts to be assembled together.


The problem is that the entire stock of raw material is delivered to the workstation at the beginning of the first day which clogs up the floor around the workstation.
