Year Wise Budgetary Controls

Our client has a business requirement to have year wise budgetary controls in Oracle eBS GL. We are on 12.1.3.

Business Case

Client CPD team signs multi year contracts. Budgeting team defines budget for only current financial year with absolute control.

So, if we have the option to open future years with advisory budgetary controls, client can raise requisitions and orders for multiple years.

For all future years, we will have negative funds available. At the beginning of the next financial year, budgeting team will pull out the funds available position and use this as a reference to do budgeting for that year and upload budget. Once budget is uploaded, budgetary control will be changed to Absolute.
