UI Customization: Custom Action

Hello,

We have an requirement where we want to show info to client before they create any new Page asset or edit and save existing Page asset of certain subtype and then check if the Page has valid configuration via custom button

I was able to add this custom button as stated here - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29634/cust_toolbar.htm#WBCSD6299 and its working perfect, no issues at all.

But I don't know how to add custom action to NEW or EDIT where I just want to show INFO.

Its not working when I try to do something like the following:
