Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. How rto reduce DB upgrade to 12c downtime other than using Golden Gate

Hi,

We are planning for a DB upgrade to 12c. Can you please confirm if there is any way to reduce the downtime involved other than using Golden Gate?

Does Data guard help n reducing downtime? If so is there any cost involved?
