Windows 8 and 9.1 standalone demo

Hi

Does anyone know if JDE 9.1 standalone demo can work with win 8 without using a virtual machine as installing the vm markedly slows the computer down. I mean can it be loaded the same way it can be loaded on win 7 without the vm, any advice or documents would be helpful
