Supplemental Data for Business units

I have read the document for setting up supplemental data - 659185.1, but am still rather unsure about its use.
Can i please confirm if these tables can be used to capture extra information related to Business units (F0006 table)?
What we need to do is provide a grid to the users which will help them choose the correct Object from the F0901 tables based on the selection from the F0006 table.
Each Business unit in the F0006 table is part of a legal entity. If the accountants are creating journal entries across the various legal entities, they must use a range of Object accounts which are allocated to each pool of the entity (from and to)
