Job Cost: Getting labor booked into a job

Is there a way to get labor booked into a job without the P051121 time entry screen and without using a journal entry? I know that sounds like a crazy question... but you can update manufacturing labor using a manufacturing screen without using P051121, so I was wondering if there was some similar capability in Job Cost. Or, is the only way to get detailed labor into a job by using P051121?
