Best Way to Debug the Configuration of RPAS Solutions

I am currently working on RPAS configuration to modify some rules and measure. In order to test the configuration, each time I have to save the configuration, upload the configuration to the server and then patch the domain, build the workbook and test the calculations.

The above stated process is time consuming. I want to know if there are any best practice recommendations to debug the configurations of RPAS solutions? If I make any updates to the configuration, I need to be able to quickly validate the changes by looking at the values of the measures.
