Project Costing based on Salary Rate

We have a requirement to perform labor costing based on actual salary rate of the employee. I understand, we can use the actual payroll for labor costing, but we dont want to make it complicated. We want to keep it very simple and use the salary rate defined in HR record and use that rate for labor costing.

Do we know how we can achieve this?
