Manufacturing transactions in a closed inventory period

Hi,

We are implementing EBS Inventory module very soon for a manufacturing firm. Business closes the inventory period every 27th of the month opens the next period on 1st day of succeeding month. However, they want the material transactions still to be created and flow in inventory for the next period though cannot be posted. Can Oracle allow this or users have to open the next period on 28th also?
