Is it possible to disable daemon hald?

I've read that on redhat server without graphics this daemon should be disabled. I have not found any documentation regarding oraclevm.

My problem is that I have more than 100 luns and it takes forever to start. I have the parameter --child-timeout=1200 and this means it takes almost 20 minutes to start.
