Query by Revision Label in Inventory

In Purchasing, when creating a PO for a revision-controlled item, I can click on the LOV and it will display the revision and revision label.  In the material workbench and the material transactions screen, a revision LOV is available, but the LOV only displays the 3-character revision value.   Our revisions look like:  R10.1.51   for example.  We cannot enter this value in the revision field therefore we allow Oracle to create a sequential revision number.  This number is meaningless to the user community.   We'd like it if Oracle could modify the LOV on those two forms to display both the revision
