EBS R12 - difference between an indirect and direct responsibility

Hello,

The responsibitly "Application Diagnostics" exists. But when trying to assign it to one user, i must assigned the responsibility "Oracle Diagnostics Tool".

And i see afterwards that "Oracle Diagnostics Tool" is a direct responsibility and "Application Diagnostics" an indirect one.


What does it mean?
