Adding assets with historic accumulated depreciation

There is a problem with accumulated depreciation that we entered on assets that were transferred from another body into this Department this year and inputted on to our Asset Register in December 2014. The assets were put on with the original cost, 　original date in service the appropriate major and minor category and location. Then accumulated depreciation was taken off each asset which left us with 5 assets with a net book value and the rest were completely depreciated to a nil value. On the fixed asset side our Asset Register looks correct and the figures match the figures given
