GL Multi-Level Consolidation

Hi,

We are implementing R12 and are looking at the GCS Consolidation Functionality in GL. We have many companies and subsidiaries and were evaluating whether to use the Multi-Level consolidation feature or the standard single level consolidation and were not clear about the difference offered in terms of benefits. Even if we do a single level consolidation to one consolidated ledger, the system would still allow users to report based on parents/roll-ups so we are unclear about whether Oracle's multi-level consolidation offers any other significant benefit that we are missing.
