Important Product Announcement for RPAS Versions 13.3.1 and Higher

This is an important announcement regarding SSL version 3 and the RPAS Platform on versions 13.3.1 and higher.  SSL version 3 has been deemed insecure due to a recently discovered vulnerability (POODLE) in the protocol.  As a result, the latest Java releases have disabled SSL version 3 by default.  Since the older releases of RPAS only support SSL version 3, this change to Java has caused connection failures in the Fusion Client. The following RPAS patches/hotfixes have upgraded the SSL protocol version to TLS version 1.0 or 1.2 and resolved this compatibility issue: 

  • 14.1 Release - 14.1.0.5 or later (TLS 1.2)
  • 14.0 Release - 14.0.2.5 or later (TLS 1.0)
  • 13.4 Release – hotfix to be released May 2015 (TLS 1.0)
