SI Group Creation - Can't see assets from existing SI

I'm helping my customer create a new SI Group.  We created the new group and can add users ok, but the assets we want to add are not available under Add S/W Assets.  We have confirmed that the new SI Group is within the same Organization as the original SI, but neither the original SI nor it's assets are visible.  Any ideas why this might be?
