Work order material UOM issue

hi,

i have a question when we are requesting stockable material with in work order and it's unit of measure (UOM) for instance is in boxes (1box = 36 pieces) and i need 3 pieces from this box. How can i request 3 pieces from store? In work order i'm seeing UOM in boxes as primary UOM.
