Switch applet mode dynamically

HI Experts,

we have requirement to display an applet as read only or switch to base mode dynamically. We don't want to do it using BC user property and we cannot use applet read only as well since this is list applet Or could be due to its specialized class like order attribute.

could you please help achieve this using PR file or provide any way that I can dynamically switch to applet's base mode?
