One Fixed Asset Number against multiple eAM Assets

Hi,

We got a fixed asset number against multiple eAM assets (e.g. 25 computers purchased and entered as 25 eAM assets but they all are against one fixed asset number), I just verified in eAM we can punch same Fixed Asset Number against multiple eAM assets but here I just want to reconfirm that is it legal in eAM ?
