Best practice to stay current with e-business suite system

Hello,

We would like to keep our system up-to-date with patches. At the moment we are running the patch wizard each month, and installing the patches. This takes too much time and effort. Oracle is also releasing RPC's. What is the best practise to stay current? Only follow the RPC's, and not the patch wizard? Using patch wizard every 2 or 3 month, and following RPC's and CPU's? Or maybe there are other options?

If Oracle continues releasing RPC's maybe this is the best way to stay current. Does Oracle continue releasing RPC's regularly? I am looking for the best practice.
