Currency and Rates

As part of our ARM implementation, we are creating a sandbox environment to show to prospective users the product functionality during our Analysis and Design phases.

We are using 11.1.2.4.

We only need one currency for the application, USD, which we enabled in our currency setting as the Entered currency.  When we started creating profiles and exported to Excel,

we have an 'INVALID' value in the Valid column in the profile export formatted version with details - Either rate type or historical rate must be specified.

Questions:

1.  The 'profile export unformatted' version does not have the Valid column.  Why is there a difference?  I understand we will be using the unformatted version to import the other profiles so can we ignore the error message in the formatted version?
