Receipts waybill/airbill field

God day

Kindly advise how I can setup the waybill/airbill field not to allow duplicate information. I will receive items enter waybill/airbill number inv123. create the receipt number. If I receive items again, I must not be allowed to capture the waybill number inv123, must get a message that this number already exist and use a new combination that was not used yet.
