Where are the database templates for DB 12.1.0.2 when creating repository for EM?

In the Oracle EM Cloud Control Basic Install Guide it mentions database templates offered by Oracle when creating the database instance for the Management Repository.  As far as I can tell the database templates are only for 11.2.0.3 and there are none for 12.1.0.2.  Do I just create a regular General Purpose or Transaction Processing database instance and then run patch  20243268 against that database instance?

Also, if I am installing EM on a server that already has a stand-alone database on it that is being used as an application database, should I install the 12.1.0.2 DB software in a different place on the server and create the database that is needed for the EM repository there or can I use the existing 12.1.0.2 software ORACLE_HOME but just create another database instance for the EM repository?
