How to setup JDE World A9.3 Role-Based Security?

I have been learning about JDE World A9.3 Role-Based Security functionality and have some questions to help with understanding setups.

  1. Is the Role/User and Role/Library List setups used for controlling the initial sign-on prompt for what active Roles a User can select to work under?
  2. Is the Role/Group used for the authority checking?    Ability to define multiple groups for the Role?
  3. Scenario 1: Can you have a Role defined with several users (F009261) and the Group will be the same that currently is setup under the User Information (F0092) -- then is it optional that you do not have to setup the Role/Group records (F009262) or is the Role/Group a required setup?   If Role/Group is not setup, for authority will it then look for the Group in the User Information?  This is still a one-for-one relationship between (User --> Group).
