R12 - RBS check - diagonal printing of "Not Negotiable" - how do I do this in an XML Publisher templ

My client currently uses a Bottomline solution to print their check on their RBS account. They print the words A/C PAYEE ONLY and NOT NEGOTIABLE diagonally across the body of the check traversing the payee name, the spelled out amount and a summary line.

I am trying to replicate this in an XML template but I'm at a loss as to how to do it.

Has anyone else done this?
