Leases in Oracle EBS Assets and payment integration to payables

We are attempting to use the Lease Details functionality in Oracle EBS Release 12.1.3 and configure our leases to have the invoices generated in Payables using the Lease Payments to Payables functionality.  We are running into a couple of issues though & wondering if anyone has found a resolution or workaround for these areas.

The 1st issue is that we are unable to setup a lease payment schedule with a Lease Date or Payment Date for anything other than the 1st of the month. Most of our leases do not start on the 1st of the month, they are effective on other dates & the invoice generation needs to coincide with these dates.  We logged an SR & this was rated as an enhancement request.  Has anyone found a way to accomplish this as it seems fairly common that leases do not start on the 1st of the month?
