Essbase ASO cube with a VERY large dimension

I could use some help determining if a cube I am working on is feasible.  I built an ASO cube with one dimension with 5million members.  I would like to get your thoughts on doing this in ASO, if Hybrid Analysis will be a good solution or any other thoughts.  I have never built a cube with a dimension this large but have heard that ASO can be built with many millions of members.

I have been asked by an executive sponsor to build a cube with a dimension that has 5million+ members (Cases).  He says that he built this type of cube with Cognos and wants us to be able to do the same in Essbase.  I'll be honest that I'm not sure if the implementation he did in Cognos is OLAP or Relational.  I have not been able to convince this executive that drill-through would be a better solution than putting cases in the cube.
