QPWDoSearch function

We have a custom App Egnine process that calls the supplied QPWDoSearch function (FUNCLIB_QPW.QPW_FUNCTIONS.FieldFormula  Name:QPWDoSearch) to fill in Texas counties in our addresses. We have always gotten the  External System Contact Error (158,10721) from time to time, but restarting the run (sometimes more than once) has always resolved the issue. But recently, without any code changes or system changes I know of, neither restarting the run nor deleting it and attempting a new run will ever complete successfully. Has anyone had this issue? Were you able to resolve it?
