Making a single field editable during BC read only

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to enable a single field when all the other fields are readonly. In other words, I had a BC read only user property configured for this BC and the entire record was becoming readonly. But for this recent requirement, I had to enable one single field alone in that record.
There are close to 100 fields in that BC which are used in various applets and hence putting 'Field Read Only User Property' for each of the 100 fields did not look appropriate.
It would greatly help if there was any alternate solution for this.
